10/08/2020 : Swathi Krishna

The session was handled by Swathi Krishna. She discussed the” Molecules and Dalton’s atom theory” topic  of the Unit “Structure of atom” from 9^th Standard Chemistry. She started the session asking questions to students. Then the discussion was started on the topic giving a beautiful introduction. The session was handled in English and she could maintain the medium of instruction till the end of the class.  The session was handled as per the lesson plan only. She could manage the time properly. Audio visual aids and slides were used and activities were given to students. Enrichment activities were given. She summarized the portion and concluded properly.

 

10/08/2020 : Lakshmi S Nair

Model: Concept attainment Model

The session was handled by Lakshmi S Nair. She discussed “Contact and Non contact force” topic of the Unit “force” from the 8^th Standard Physics. Discussion was started on the topic giving a good introduction. The presentation of the topic was good and she showed examples and assigned activities to students. Examples were confusing. She could make the topic clear. The session was handled in English and she could maintain the medium of instruction till the end of the class.  The session was handled as per the lesson plan only .Enrichment activities were given. The summarization of the topic was done and concluded the portion properly.

11/08/2020 : Doniya Francis

Model: Inquiry Training Model

The session was handled by Doniya Francis. She discussed “ionic bond and covalent bond” topic of the Unit “chemical bonding” from the 9^th Standard Chemistry.  She did the presentation nicely. But she should have tried to make students involvement in the activities. She should have discussed the electronic configuration of Fluorine. Slides were used to present the topic.

11/08/2020 : Karthika S Sekhar

Model: Activity Based

The session was handled by Karthika S Sekhar. She discussed the topic “Kanthavum kanthathinte savisheshathakalum” from the unit “Kanthikatha” in 8^th standard. She did the presentation nicely. Activities were given to students but she should have tried to include more activities. The session was handled as per the lesson plan only. She could manage the time properly. Audio visual aids and slides were used. Enrichment activities were given. She summarized the portion and concluded properly.

 

12/08/2020: Archa

Model: Concept Attainment model

 The session was handled by Archa. She discussed the topic “Reversible and irreversible changes” from the unit “Chemical Changes  ” in 8^th standard Chemistry. Session was very interactive and all phases were good. She could not reach the topic to students in phase 1. Phase 2 examples should have been easier to differentiate. Introduction and Closure was not there.

 

12/08/2020:Arya Sukumaran

Model: Inquiry Training Model

The session was handled by Arya Sukumaran. She discussed the topic “Thaapa Rasapravarthanangal” from the unit “Chemical Changes” in 8^th standard Chemistry. Her interaction with students was good. But she failed in generating the topic among students due to poor knowledge. The introduction was good. Phase 1 was average and Explanation should have been avoided in Phase 2. Phase 3 was confused and in Phase 4, she should have asked more students about their conclusion and understanding of the topic. She should have avoided using English terms frequently as her lesson plan was in English.

 

13/08/2020:Aswathy S Nair

 Model: Concept Attainment model

The session was handled by Aswathy S Nair. She discussed the topic “Elements of compounds” from the unit “Basic constituent of  Matter” in 8^th standard Physics. Good introduction. She could develop the concept. Session was interactive. Presentation was good.Concluded the session properly.

 

13/08/2020:Ancy B

Model: Concept Attainment model

The session was handled by Ancy B. She discussed the topic “Un-balanced external force motion” from the unit “Motion and Laws of Motion” in 9^th standard Physics. Introduction was not there. Directly moved into the topic. The topic was presented beautifully. Her teaching style was different and attractive. Session started in English. Language fluency was good. Maintained the medium of instruction till the end of the session. She summarized the topic and did the closure perfectly

The session was handled by Clint johnson. He discussed the topic “Length” from the unit “Units and Measurement” in 8^th standard Physics.

The session was handled by Doniya Francis. She discussed the topic “Viscosity” from the unit “Liquid Forces” in 9^th  standard Physics. Presentation was good .She should have involved students in activities .
